Shania Kuo is a Ph.D. Student in Sociology at the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities, where she is a 2023-2024 Diversity of Views and Experience (DOVE) Fellow. She studies Asian American communities and families, emotions and how they are racialized, identity development, the intersections of race, class, and gender, and mental and physical health along the life course.
Currently, her focus is on how Asian American immigrant families navigate intergenerational elderly and disabled caregiving.
Outside of her graduate studies, Shania enjoys cooking, drawing, and taking long walks.
